Baier's Axioms

Baier's Compendium of Positive Theology, the first systematics text of the LCMS, has a fourth volume of indexes, created by Theodore Buenger, to go along with the three volumes that Walther edited. Along with these indexes were included a list of 467 axioms drawn from the Compendium.

For your reading pleasure, here starts the list of those axioms and their translations.

1. Notitia Dei naturalis aut nulla aut imperfecta aut languida est.
The natural knowledge of God is either nonexistent or imperfect or powerless.
