Distinguedum est inter conceptum Dei, ex creaturis ab ethnicorum mente haustum, et inter conceptus illius applicationem; ille fuit legitimus, haec vero minime.
One must distinguish between the concept of God, mentally drawn from creation by the nations, and the applying of that concept; the former is legitimate, the latter not at all.
